Virginia Cox
Malcolm, James Cox and myself went on three Habitat for Humanity work trips. Malcolm was part of the crew that did finishing work on homes–installing interior doors, trim and cabinets that most volunteers were unqualified to do. He enjoyed these trips immensely except for the trip when recycled army cots were provided for volunteers to sleep on. The cots had a tendency to collapse unexpectedly and dump the sleeper on a hard floor in the middle of the night. Padding for sleeping bags became a "have to have" item when packing for trips. Malcolm also spent several months repairing homes after the Moore tornado. He was a cheerful person with a wonderful, dry sense of humor and will be missed.
