James Royce Phillips' Obituary
James Royce “Jim” Phillips, 74, went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2005. Jim was born November 30, 1930 to Walter Cleveland and Pierce (Michael) Phillips in Loretto, Tennessee. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving the 101st Divison, Camp Breckenridge, Kentucky, with an honorable discharge in 1952. On April 8, 1966 Jim married Donna in Tulsa. In 1967 he began his career as an agent with Farmers Insurance Group. In 1999 he retired, handing off the family acency to his son. While traveling and riding his Harley, he was a member of CMA since 1976 and Retreads since 1980. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Louise O’Kelley. Funeral services were held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, January 27, 2005, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was immediately following in the Veterans Extended Garden, Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.Survived By: his wife, Donna of Tulsa, OK; three daughters, Sandra Wofford of Tulsa, Denise Horton and husband Bob of Catoosa, OK, and Debra Smith of Tulsa, OK; two sons, Danny Broom and his wife Andrea of Altoona, Alabama and Dewayne Keith and his wife Vicki of Catoosa, OK. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
