James started out as just my little brother’s baseball coach, then he & his family became so much more. I remember the time he & the other coach, Bryan Rainbolt, came to my house to “approve” the guy who took me on my second date once I turned 16. I was super embarrassed, so their goal was accomplished. Another memory is when his wife, Meg, commissioned my family to toilet paper their house on his birthday. He and my younger brother shared a birthday & a special bond as our dad passed away when I was 12 & my brother was five. That was a doozy of a toilet papering job since we weren’t limited to finishing before we got caught. I remember him finding out who did it and his laughing that followed. He had a wonderful laugh!
I’m praying for you Meg, Kyle & Carrie as you walk through the coming days, weeks, and months ahead.
