James Harold Rogers' Obituary
James Harold Rogers, age 72, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on September 8, 1952, in Tulsa to Horace and Ruby Pittman Rogers, James lived a life marked by service, devotion, and quiet strength.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, James built a distinguished career in the oil and gas industry, working with Texaco, Sinclair Oil, and Holly Frontier. Throughout his professional life, he was known for his expertise in product blending and was widely respected for his excellence and dedication.
On June 25, 1998, James married the love of his life, Heidi Black Rogers. Their bond was one of mutual respect, laughter, and unwavering support. James’s love for Heidi was deep and enduring, a partnership built on faith and family.
He was a man of many passions. A skilled gardener, James poured care into creating a beautifully landscaped haven around his home. His love for cars—especially Corvettes—was legendary among those who knew him, with fast engines and classic designs bringing him joy.
James believed deeply in giving back. He selflessly delivered for Meals on Wheels and contributed his time and skills to maintenance work at the Little Lighthouse in Tulsa, acts of quiet generosity that reflected his heart.
Above all, James was a man of strong Christian faith. His life was guided by his relationship with God, a foundation that shaped his character and the legacy he leaves behind. He was a devoted father, a guiding presence for his daughters-in-law, and a grandfather who delighted in every moment with his grandchildren. His generosity and integrity were constants in the lives of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Heidi, his parents Horace and Ruby, and his sister Diane Rogers Robertson. He is survived by his brother Gary Rogers and wife Paula; brother-in-law Steve Robertson; sons Jason Rogers and wife Kellie, and Justin Rogers and wife Caitlin; and his cherished grandchildren, Jace Maverick and Rylan Jaymes Rogers.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will take place at Floral Haven on Monday, June 30th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
