James David Stafford's Obituary
James David Stafford born December 21, 1949 to Parents Eugene and Joan Stafford. In his early years David lived with his family on a dairy farm in Green Forrest Arkansas. It was obvious early on David had a sense of adventure. Many days he would wander farther from home than was allowed with his imaginary friend John killing bears.David moved with his family to Tulsa in 1956 and graduated from Edison High School in 1967. David attended OSU and TU graduating in 1971 from TU with a business degree. While at TU David was active in ROTC and upon his graduation was commissioned 1st Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. David moved on after graduation to flight training at Vance Air Base Enid, Oklahoma there earning his wings. Active duty began and David served at Hancock base Syracuse NewYork, flying missions in support of NORAD, then later serving at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Arizona. Following discharge David moved his family back to Tulsa and began his 22 career with Parker Drilling Companies International Division. During much of his time at Parker he lived in South America, primarily in Bogota, Columbia.David’s career in the oil industry took him to many countries, always ready for an adventure making many friends all along the way.David was preceded in death by paternal and maternal grandparents, and his father Eugene Stafford.He is survived by Mother Joan Stafford, his devoted wife Patricia; sister, Annette Shortess (Steve); brother Phillip Stafford(Marilyn); daughter Monica (Bill) Lissau of Tulsa; son Matthew Stafford of Tulsa; son Andrew (Jessica) of Navarro, Fla.; Daughter Allycen (Ryan) of Lexington, Mo. and son Daniel Stafford of Tulsa, OK.He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and friends untold from various countries.David now resides in Heaven the most beautiful of all his travel destinations, and is in great health!A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 3PM, Thursday, November 21 at First United Methodist Church downtown, 1115 S Boulder Ave Tulsa, Ok 74119
