James Sterling IV, age 51 a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed from this life, Monday, January 05, 2026 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. James Karl Sterling IV was born March 23, 1974, to James Karl Sterling III and Laura Susan (Lovinggood) Sterling in Spearman, Texas.
James loved to cook. He was a cook in the Navy. He supported the LBGTQ community. He dressed as a nun and went through the community showing his support and encouragement.
James will be dearly missed by his sons: Jhonatan Sterling Sr. and fiance Charli, and Jason Sterling and wife Ashley; grandchildren: Jhonatan Alexander Sterling Jr., Hazel Grace Sterling, and Liam Sterling; father: James Karl Sterling III; sister: Jeri Koehler; and brother: John Sterling. He is preceded in death by his mother Laura Sterling.
