James M. Walden, Sr., age 80 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 16, 2011. He was born on November 30, 1930 in Nashville, Tennessee to Henry and Dixie (Herrin) Walden. James proudly served his country with the United States Army. He married Barbara (Hestle) Walden on August 26, 1954 in Nashville. James worked as the President of Walden Sales, Inc. James was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Dixie Walden; 2 brothers, Henry Walden and Dick Walden. He is survived by his wife Barbara Walden of the home; children, Jimmy Walden and his wife Greta, Jerry Walden, Don Walden and his wife Tammy; grandchildren, Chris Walden and his wife Allison, Diane Walden, Joel Walden, Jonathan Walden, Ryan Walden; great grandson, Luke Walden; one brother, Tom Walden and his wife Jan. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011, 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church -Broken Arrow with interment following at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The family will be receiving guests from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association.
