Jamie Twyman's Obituary
Jamie Charters Twyman, 63, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, died on Thursday, May 29, 2014. She was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, on January 13, 1951. On November 25, 1978, she married Vernon R. Twyman, Jr., in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jamie was a God-fearing prayer warrior. She drew strength from God daily. She never waivered in her faith, and rarely even let a negative thought escape her mouth. She loved people and would embrace family and strangers in the same way… with a huge smile and a warm hug. Jamie had a God-given gift of making people feel welcome and accepted. In fact, many children walked through the doors of her house and stayed for lengthy periods of time. She had and still has dozens of people who call her mom. She was a wise mentor and a kind friend. Jamie is survived by her loving husband, five children, Tara Anderson, and her husband, Brent, of Jenks, Oklahoma, Trey Twyman, and his wife, Vanessa, of Jenks, Oklahoma, Steve Twyman, and his wife, Caitlin, of Dallas, Texas, Nicole Dunham, and her husband, Brett, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Michael Twyman, and his wife, Sarah, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, four grandchildren, Rylee Anderson, Kenzie Anderson, Sophie Anderson, and Millie Twyman, brother, Ron Charters, sister, Judy Nestell, and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and children, Tiffany Marie Twyman, and David Lawrence Twyman. Memorial donations may be made in Jamie’s name to Newspring Family Church, www.newspringchurch.com, which has established a fund to pay medical bills and last expenses. There will be procession to the committal service, which will be held at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens immediately following the service at the church. After the committal, everyone is welcome to join the family for a potluck gathering of food and fellowship at The Assembly at Broken Arrow.
