Jane Lynn Dunlap's Obituary
Jane Lynn Dunlap, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away February 23, 2018 at the age of 70. She was born November 2, 1947 to Wayne Hixon and Mary (Menzie) Hixon in Alexandria, Virginia. She graduated from Iola High School in Iola, Kansas and attended Allen County Community College and Kansas State University. On June 29, 1968, she married Jack R. Dunlap in Iola, KS and moved to Tulsa shortly after. In 1979 they moved to Broken Arrow with their 3 daughters. She enjoyed being a Soccer mom, cooking, arts and crafts. She spent many years as the face in the office and manager of the concession stand for the Broken Arrow Soccer Club. She was faithful to God, and enjoyed attending church services. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with family, traveling to exciting places or at home watching movies.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dunlap and her parents, Wayne and Mary Hixon.Survivors include her three daughters, Christine Flowers and husband, Sam, Rebecca Buelow and husband, Nick, Kelly Siegel and husband, Dave; brother, Mark Hixon and wife, Deborah; sisters, Beth Hixon and Mona Minshull; grandchildren, James Atkinson, Jackson Buelow, Riley Buelow, Ella Siegel and Mila Siegel.Viewing will be held Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and family will greet friends that evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 at Floral Haven Rose Chapel.Honorary Pallbearers will be Mark Hixon, Dave Siegel, Nick Buelow, Sam Flowers, Mark Dunlap and Jay Atkinson.In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a Tribute page in her honor on the Alzheimer’s Association website.
