Jane Ann Morgan's Obituary
Jane Ann (Munson) Morgan, age 69, passed away on January 12, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma after a courageous battle with cancer. Jane was born on June 11, 1953, in Grinnell, Iowa to John Milton Munson Sr. and Velda Irene (Waddle) Munson. Jane graduated in 1971 from Belleville High School in Kansas. She then attended Asbury Nursing School. In 1975, Jane married the love of her life, Rodney Corwin Morgan. Together they had Katie Ann and Charles John who both made them extremely proud. The family moved to Edmond, Oklahoma in 1983 where they resided until 2016when Rod and Jane moved to Tulsa.
The only girl with 4 brothers, Jane was strong yet compassionate. She spent much of her life caring for others as a nurse, which she enjoyed, especially because of the lifelong friends she made while working. Jane’s best title, though, was “Honey” which was what her eight grandchildren lovingly called her. She told them the best stories, always had an interest in their daily lives and activities and spent countless hours just being with them. Jane’s hobbies included listening to audio books, cooking, sewing, spending time with her church ladies, chatting on the phone to her friends and brother, and gardening.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, John and Velda Munson; brothers, Ron and John Munson; and husband, Rodney Corwin Morgan.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Katie Pitt (Matt) of Tulsa (Shea, Chloe, Christopher, Brody, Mason); son, Chuck Morgan (Hannah of Edmond, (Palmer, Charlee, Jones); brother, Jerry Munson (Carol) of Overland Park, KS; brother, Bob Munson (Jane) of St. Louis, MO; brother-in-law, Chuck Morgan (Linda) of Kansas City, KS; sister-in-law, Jan Rosander of Tulsa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
