Janet Coffin's Obituary
Janet Kirby Coffin, 72, of Bixby, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020. She was born December 26, 1947 in Paris, Arkansas to her parents, James Roy Kirby and Colleen Levi Kirby. She graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa and attended Ozark Bible College in Joplin, Missouri. She married Roger W. Hall on August 15, 1966 who preceded her in death on May 27, 1995. Janet met Harry Wilbur Coffin, Jr. at East Tulsa Christian Church, they were married on April 16, 1999 and they have shared in over 21 wonderful years together.
Janet is survived by her husband, Harry Coffin, Jr; her mother, Colleen Kirby of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; brother Jay Kirby and wife Vickie of Tulsa, Oklahoma and sister Cynthia Diven and husband Kelly of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five children, Angela Merchant and fiancé David Baker of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Derek Hall and wife Christina of Oswego, Kansas, Darin Hall and wife Amanda of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Roxann Walker and husband Ike of Fargo, North Dakota and Randall Coffin and wife Lori of Norfolk, Nebraska; 19 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; many close extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Roy Kirby, and one brother, Jeffery Kirby.
Janet enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling all her grandchildren. She was active in the Women’s Ministry at Cedar Ridge Christian Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting and playing cards. She volunteered, fostered, and adopted with several animal rescue groups. She also enjoyed cooking and baking sweet treats for family and friends. She will be missed dearly by everyone who knew and loved her.
