Dan & I first met Janet in 1971. We had great fun over the years and with their girls, Karis and Kristen. They grew up with our boys and we even took vacations together. A favorite memory is when she visited us in our first parsonage over Thanksgiving and we locked ourselves in a room to finish off the last piece of pumpkin pie, while giggling like school girls. We both knew Spanish, which we would occasionally lapse into. I really her when she moved from Illinois but was happy to receive occasional e-mails and those sweet phone calls. I will remember her as a great cook! Keep in touch, Karis and Kristen. We love you and know great things are in store for you. Love, Chris and Dan

I will miss my cousin Jan. We have kept in touch by email, but not seen each other in several years. Jan was one of the sweetest and most caring and giving persons I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.You have a host of loving relatives who have been waiting and are now welcoming you to heaven.Prayers lifted for your daughters and brother.

My remembrances of Janet concern her dignity and calm at all times. I recently (just before she took ill) met her in the Wal-Mart Grocery. I had a grocery list from a lady in our School of the Bible class who was ill, and could not find one of the items on the list. Janet and I ran into one another, and I told her my problem. She knew exactly what I was looking for, and told me how to find it. She was always so calm and ladylike, and as I was flustered, what a blessing she was to help me out. I'm sure she was in a hurry too, but she was glad to assist me. How I admire that. Another thing I always noticed about Janet is how well-groomed she always was….what a gentle lady! She will be missed.
