Janice Ann Burnett's Obituary
Janice Ann (Laudett) Burnett was born on December 10, 1948, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, to Durl and Audie Laudett and went to her Heavenly home surrounded on October , 2014 . Her beautiful smile, quick wit, lovely alto voice and hearty laugh will be missed by all who knew her. She was the life-long love and wife of Dennis Joe Burnett and mother of Scott Burnett. She loved Scott, his wife Jamie, and grandchildren, Rachel, Eleanor and Kent Burnett, “more than my luggage”! She would say her grandchildren “were practically perfect in every way”! She retired from NCRA in December, 2013, after 23 years as a Sr. Crude Oil Buyer. She worked as a crude oil buyer a total of 42 years. She was a Christian who never compromised her principles. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Chancellor Choir, and Anna’s Belles (ovarian cancer survivors). She was an avid football fan, rooting for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, OU and Texas A&M. She attended Catoosa public schools, Class of ’66, Northeastern State University and the University of Tulsa, majoring in music education. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and nephew, Robert Allen Laudett. She is survived by her son, Scott and wife Jamie Burnett of San Diego, California and her grandchildren, Rachel, Eleanor and Kent Burnett of San Diego, California; siblings, Bob and Rosemary Laudett of Owasso, Donna and Larry Burgess of Broken Arrow, Billy Laudett and Debbie Crawford of Broken Arrow, Sue Wilson of Tulsa, and Tami and Mark Morse of Broken Arrow, brother-in-law, Larry and Sue Burnett of Catoosa, sister-in-law, Judy and Jim Martin of Virginia, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Private family services are planned for her burial. The Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church, 403 S. Cincinnati Ave. of Tulsa, Oklahoma, on October 20, 2014 at 2:00 pm.
