Janice Hendricks' Obituary
Janice Hendricks, passed away on August 29, 2025, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Janice was born on May 27, 1940, in Vinita, Oklahoma, to James and Opal Redman.
Janice lived a life defined by her deep faith, unwavering kindness, and an immense love for others. To know Janice was to know a woman who never met a stranger, whose smile and warmth welcomed all with open arms. She was the epitome of grace, strength, and compassion. Her devotion to her faith was apparent in everything she did—she loved teaching, offering guidance and wisdom at her church, and she spent countless hours in prayer for others.
A true caregiver at heart, Janice’s nurturing spirit extended beyond her family and friends. She dedicated time to volunteering at Reading Partners, and Glory House bringing light and hope to those in need. Whether it was offering a listening ear, preparing a meal, or lending a helping hand, she did so with a heart full of love and care.
Janice was an avid reader, always seeking to expand her knowledge and find inspiration in the stories and words of others. She was an eternal student of life, and her wisdom enriched all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Above all, Janice had a passion for hospitality. She loved having family and friends in her home. She modeled this by opening her home, whether for a cup of coffee or a place to stay while you got on your feet. Many will remember the warmth of her asking, "Is there anything I can do for you or give you?" You never left her presence without a hug and her telling you she loved you.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Lee Hendricks, parents, and sister Linda Kay Stevens.
She is survived by her daughter April Rosebure and husband Lawrence, son Harold Todd and wife Ginger, son Peter James and wife Jennifer, 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and other extended family. All of which she loved deeply.
