Janice Sue Starnes Riley's Obituary
Janice Sue Starnes Riley, 68, passed away in her home on June 27, 2024. She fought a 16-year-long battle with Neuroendocrine cancer. Janice was born on February 19, 1956, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma to Jessie and Billy Starnes. She graduated from Charles Page High School in 1974.
Janice married Robert Riley on October 20, 1975, and they were married for 20 years. She lived in Prattville for many years and later moved to Broken Arrow to be near her family.
She was an avid fisherwoman and loved being on the lake. She also enjoyed flower arranging and interior decorating. She also enjoyed going to class reunions with her Sandite family.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Rodney Starnes, and father, Charles Billy Starnes. She is survived by her mother, Jessie Starnes, and sister, Debbie Lowe both of Broken Arrow. She is also survived by three nieces and one nephew. Christy and Joe McGill of Bixby, Michelle and Troy Kitchel of Norman, Brad and Serena Lowe of Owasso, and Trisha and Aaron Kerr of Broken Arrow. She is also survived by many other family members and friends, including her dogs Nellie and Dude.
Janice will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. She was one of a kind.
Her final wishes were that there be no memorial services. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, July 3rd, at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
