Janice Uhl's Obituary
On Tuesday, August 13, 2019, Janice (Jan) Kay Fisher-Brandon-Uhl, loving sister and mother of three children, passed away at the age of 74.Jan was born on September 10, 1944 in Wheatland, Missouri to H. J. (Jay) and Jewel (Johnson) Fisher. She graduated Erie high school class of 1962. She also attended Neosho County Community College.She married Spencer Brandon June 18,1961 they raised/ Co-Parented after divorcing 1977 two sons, Tim and Todd, and one daughter Tammy. Jan married Melvin Uhl December 26, 1980.Jan had a passion for all sports as she was a coach and mentor to many for years. While in high school she was a drum majorette, she also had adventurous side she was a fire baton twirler.She loved her church and community, she was very involved, as she sat on numerous boards. She was very talented, to create extraordinary art. Favorite hobbies- crafting, embroidery, cooking. She was much admired for her cooking by friends and family, always a favorite at church as well as work potlucks. Avid music lover and loved dancing. She was known for her love of God and family, quick wit, infectious smile, beautiful blue eyes, and her kind and compassionate spirit.Jan was preceded in death by her father, H. J. (Jay), and mother, Jewel Fisher. Husband Melvin Uhl. She is survived by her three children, Tim Brandon and wife Tammie of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Daughter Tammy Schillings and Husband Pat of the home Tulsa Oklahoma, Todd Brandon Chanute Kansas. One sister Sandy Goltry and husband Rod of Burneyville Oklahoma. Niece Kim Durst and husband Terry. Nephew Jason Goltry and wife Carmen. Cousin Russ Johnson and wife Karen. Cousin Sheryl Spradley. 12 grandchildren: Ashely, Amber, Kelsey, Lindsey, Kaylee, Chandler,Todd-Jay, Cameron, Haylee, Cheyenne, Bailey, Brianna. 18 great grandchildren with one on the way. Numerous nieces and nephews.Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 pm, Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Faith Cumberland Presbyterian Church 2809 S. 129 E. Ave. Tulsa, OK 74134Directly following the service please join the family, for continuation of Jan’s Celebration of life in the fellowship hall. As they will be gathering to share meal, some favorite memories, stories, laugh, cry and remember a wonderful person who will be greatly missed.Due to the church hours; flowers can be delivered between the hours of 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on the day of the services.
