Janie Louise Ruttman's Obituary
"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints." Psalm 116:15
Janie Louise Ruttman, 68, was born on March 19, 1958 in Springfield, Missouri and passed away on April 6, 2026 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma as a result of a fall in her home. Janie graduated from Marshfield, Missouri High School in 1976. On January 2,1992 Janie married Dave Ruttman.
Janie was preceded in death by her parents, Sim and Jessie Chittim and her sister Judy Holden. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Dave, as well as step-sons Brad and wife Stephanie of Owasso, Oklahoma; Zac of Chelsea, Oklahoma; and Nathan and wife India of Tahoka, Texas as well as numerous grandchildren.
Janie and Dave shared their love of the mountains often camping in their RV in Colorado. After their marriage in 1992, Janie retired from working outside the home and focused on what she really enjoyed, making their house a home. More than the mountains, however they shared their love for Jesus who was at the center of their marriage. They enjoyed participating in many small group bible studies over the years. Her love for Jesus helped her persevere without complaint after being diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma Cancer with resulting kidney failure in September 2024.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held at Immanuel Bible Church at 1201 N. Elm in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on April 16th at 1:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Immanuel Bible Church, Deacon Fund.
