Janis "Jan" Berman's Obituary
Janis Berman affectionately known as Jan passed on February 23, 2026, in Tulsa, surrounded by the love and legacy of a life devoted to faith, family, and kindness.
She was born on March 3, 1947, in Winslow, AZ to Reginald Calhoon and Mary Jane Calhoon, who instilled in her the strong values and loving spirit she carried throughout her life. On August 29, 1968, Jan married the love of her life, Bruce Berman, in Las Vegas. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to devotion, partnership, and biblical love. Jan was a woman of deep and abiding faith. She found great joy and purpose in her involvement with Bible Study Fellowship, where she grew spiritually and formed lasting friendships. She was a devoted and biblical wife, a loving mother and family member, and a steady source of encouragement and strength to those around her.
She had a passion for tennis and enjoyed sports of all kinds, always cheering others on and sharing in their excitement. Jan loved flowers and found joy in their beauty, just as she brought beauty and warmth into the lives of others. She also loved dancing, and her joyful spirit could often be seen in the happiness she shared with family and friends.
Above all, Jan cherished her family. She was generous, compassionate, and deeply devoted to those she loved. Her close relationships with her family were among her greatest treasures, and her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will live on in their hearts forever.
