Janis Hoffman's Obituary
JANIS HOFFMAN Janis Hoffman passed away on December 18, 2017, at Arbrook Plaza Nursing Facility in Arlington, TX, after a brief illness. She was born August 1, 1935, in Ada, KS, to Harold and Lyllian Moutain. Her parents, her husband, Dr. Harland Hoffman, and her sister Jane Nixon preceeded her in death.Surviving are her son, Lamont Hoffman and wife, Shari, brother-in-law Jerry Nixon, nephews Mark (Debbie) and Greg (Angela) Nixon, great nephew Joshua Nixon, and great nieces Katy, Abigail, and Regan Nixon.Janis graduated with a B.S. in Physical Education from Fort Hays State University, lived for many years in Kearney with her husband and son, and worked at L&W Service Center and Russell’s Appliance Center. After her husband’s retirement from KSC/UNK, the family moved to Broken Arrow, OK. After his death she moved to Grand Prairie, TX, to be with her son and daughter-in-lawJanis will be greatly missed by family and many friends who enjoyed her jovial personality, her love of golf, her sincerity, and her loyal friendship. Services will be January 5, 2018, at 12:30 PM in Broken Arrow, OK, at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel (www.floralhaven.com) is in charge of arrangements. The Cure Arthritus 2020 Initiative (www.curearthritis.org) may be considered for memorials.
