Janis & I met in 1977 at a Bible study. We owned a Christian bookstore together, We prayed, we laughed, we snow skied, we played tennis two times a week at least And we played bridge. On one ski trip there was a long steep narrow chute. There was nothing to do but to go down it. Problem, down at the bottom there was a man trying to get up and couldn’t. We watched him struggle and we continue to wait and finally Janis yelled here I come ready or not. About that same time the man got up, but Janis was on her way and knocked him for a loop as well as herself. She apologized, but then started laughing. Thank goodness he was a good sport. Other times she would ski through the woods, and I always stayed on the course, but I would hear her laughing, even though I couldn’t see her. That always meant she had fallen down. One time, Lonnie and I were at Monty and Janis’s house and she had made biscuits. She was putting them on the table but one fell off and the floor. She looked at me, blew on it and put it on my plate. I love her like a sister and know I’ll see her again. She passed on Lonnie’s birthday so they probably celebrated together with lots of relatives on both sides.
