Janna Kiser's Obituary
Janna Jane Kiser, 77, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed on June 21, 2019 in Red River, New Mexico.Born December 30, 1941 to Hershel Mabry Smith and Modean Duncan Smith.She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma where she enjoyed singing in the Asbury Singing Ambassadors. Music was an important part of her life. She loved singing and playing the piano.Janna was happy to be a part of a group of volunteers that provided “Port Pillows” for cancer patients. She also enjoyed working with “Care Matters” where they made mats for homeless people.She was a retired public school teacher having taught in the Broken Arrow Public Schools until her retirement in 1994. Her lifetime mission was educating students. She taught in several districts in Oklahoma until coming to Broken Arrow.Janna was preceded in death by her parents, Hershel and Modean Smith and Son, John Kyle Alfred. She is survived by husband, T. George Kiser of the home, sister Judie Evans, daughters Kristi Blackford and Kara Rhodes, Stepchildren Kelle Kiser, Craig Kiser, Keith Kiser and Christopher Kiser, 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, from 5 pm – 8 pm.Services will be held in her honor at 12:30 on Friday, June 28 at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
