Jason Patterson Walker's Obituary
Jason Patterson Walker, 37: husband, father, son, brother, child of God. Jason was a guitar-playing, coffee-swilling, music-loving man with a heart for his family and a keen appetite for nature, science, movies, art, and the unique and bizarre. He loved his family, the Beatles, and could devour an entire jar of marshmallow creme in one sitting. In a world of tears, Jason was the laughter that carried through the night. In a world of loneliness, Jason was the friend that always cared. In a world of selfishness, Jason chose the floor while others chose the chair. Though he is gone from us, we cannot help but think that what we are left with is more than the sum of 37 years, more than a scattered collection of memories and artifacts of a life lived and lost far too soon. He has left behind a beautiful wife and son, loving parents and parents-in-law, four brothers, four sisters-in-law, and a multitude of cherished friends. Let it not be said that he is survived by them, but that he lives on through them. Forever in the hearts of his famly will his memory be carried, and long will it be cherished. We are left with the single thing on which Jason based his existence. We are left with a hope. A single encouragement that if such a fury of life could be lived in the shadow of such an illness, what obstacle could possibly stand in our way? And though Jason’s body may have succumbed to a disease tht confined him, he never once let that disease define him. Today we stand witness to a life lived in perseverance and hope. -Joshua WilliamsSurvived By: beautiful wife, Shanon and son, Grey; loving parents, Jack and Janene Walker; loving parents-in-law, Larry and Loreta Williams; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joel and Christy Walker, Jamie and Cheryl Kelsey Walker, Larry and Patricia Williams, and Josh and Darla Williams, several nieces and nephews; and a multitude of cherished friends
