Jay Dee Anderson, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on May 14, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 74 years old.
Born on August 7, 1949, in Okarche, Oklahoma, Jay was the son of James Albert Anderson and Nellie (Brown) Stines. Throughout his life, Jay was a highly skilled painter who brought color and life to countless homes and businesses. He was passionate about his family and the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Jay is survived by his devoted wife, Jeanette Anderson, and their three children: Stacy Anderson Downs, Jason Goff, and Suzanne Lee. His love extended to his grandchildren, including Matthew Steele, Jayme Steele, Taylor Goff, Chris Mitchell, Alanna Lee, and Devaney Lee. The joy of family multiplied with great-grandchildren Mattilynn Steele, Mathias Steele, Maverick Steele, Noah Roby, Liam Roby, Shane Mitchell, Carter Mitchell, and Malachi Korfeh.
In addition to his immediate family, Jay leaves behind his siblings: Freda Roger, Sherry Rains, Tena Johnson, Nicky Anderson, Carol Cash, and Kim Little. Their shared memories and bonds will forever connect them.
As Jay wished for a private farewell, there will be no public services. Instead, his family will gather to celebrate his life and honor the legacy he leaves behind. Jay Dee Anderson will be remembered for his artistic talent, his warm heart, his love of the outdoors and wildlife, and the love he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
