Twenty or so years ago, I met Scott at the apartment complex where I lived. There were a group of us that got together to play water volleyball every weekend, and 1 evening during the work week. He loved water volleyball, and showed up every week to play. From there, I formed a great friendship with him, that lasted all these years. What I remember most about him, is how much I laughed! He listened intently to anything you wanted to share with him, and offered the best advice. I often joke that I have never met a man, that liked to talk as much as I do! A 2-hour telephone conversation, was standard when we visited. He was such a great storyteller, and the first to crack a joke, to either state the obvious, or lighten the mood. He will be missed dearly, by those that loved him. I feel grateful to have met, and shared a friendship with him. Rest in peace my dear friend.
It's strange how such a wonderful friendship can drift apart, but the love and good memories of Scott and the Jackson family did not. Such good times our families shared on weekends at the lake. Lots of them; even the earliest camping trips when Donna was pregnant with Jay. The boat was taking on water and I thought we had a serious problem in the middle of the lake. Scott was my first roommate at OSU. His cleanliness and tidiness kept me from going too far the other way. We were "the Odd Couple". I remember when Scott and Donna got married. What a surprise that was and our friendship grew even stronger. Scott was a groomsman when Marian and I married. Our memories will live on. Marian and I send our love and prayers to the family. God Bless you all.
Scott and I were very close friends and shared working careers together in the computer business. We followed each other in several contracts working with companies in Tulsa. He added a great sense of humor to all he did and was the most positive individual I ever met. He will be missed. Calvin Campbell
