JB Rogers' Obituary
JB Rogers, the youngest of ten children was born on April 30,1931,at Swan Lake, Caddo County, Oklahoma to father, Joseph Belvege Rogers and mother Ethel N. (Cotter) Rogers. JB moved to Jenks, Oklahoma in 1950 and married Marietta Jean Jordan on January 5, 1951. They were married nearly 58 years when the Lord decided to take Jean home first. JB, with Jean’s help, owned and operated several construction businesses during their long and happy partnership. JB left this world for his reward in heaven on August 4, 2012.He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Rogers, brother Claud Rogers, and sisters Goldie Gelvin, Mamie Gaddis, Edna Smith, Dorothy Smith, Artie Landry and Dicey (Baccus) Able. JB is survived by a son, Jimmy Rogers and wife Gail and a daughter, Janet Bowles all of Jenks, Oklahoma. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, a sister, Ethel Hawkins of Oklahoma City, Ok. and brother Horace Rogers and wife Ruby of Broken Arrow, Ok. as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and many, many dear friends. JB will be missed by all. As a member of New Spring Assembly of God Church, JB’s services are scheduled there on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 10:00 AM. The Church is located at 2907 W.108th Pl. S., Jenks, Ok.
