Dear Kathy; I just read this evening, of the passing of your mother. She was very sweet and kind ….what a happy smile wore. She was a strong person, providing love and strength to your family. So many talents she possessed : Making crafts (excellent at needle-point) , preparing gourmet foods (especially, her yummy Chocolate Kringle cookies), She planned out and gave, wonderful holiday and special occasion parties, everyone looked so forward to them. I have many memories of the fun-times, our W.D.M. neighborhood-of-friends had , during our gatherings in the”1960’s”. What a RETRO-LIFE , we lived back then! I shared a love of Andy Williams Music, with your mom. Remember, our families staying the weekend in that VERY rustic cabin, at Lake Okoboji ? Our parents must have had a blast, watching us give our backyard “TALENT ???-SHOWS”. How-a-bout, the Kool-Aid stands we had , also the chocolate-chip cookie and popcorn sales out in front of our houses. My family moved from Iowa, FIFTY -YEARS ago, this year. Hard to image a half of a century, has gone by. May the precious memories YOU , have of your mother, forever bring you happiness within your heart. It is hard to image the world, without the people we have loved the most, living in it. ( I miss my father, very much.) We all, feel the sadness of the passing of your wonderful mother. Sending you (and your family) special prayers.
