Jean W. Powell's Obituary
Jean W. Powell, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away March 1, 2022 at the age of 92. She was born March 26, 1929 to Harmon F. Powers and Olive Mae Knight in Blytheville, Arkansas. On September 2, 1946, she married Denice (pronounced Dennis) F Powell.
Jean worked in retail for many years and worked at Billy James Hargis Ministries and Kenneth Hagin Ministries collectively for 15 years. She retired at age 62 from Flight Safety International, working as a Benefits Coordinator. She helped her husband in collecting clothing and food to go to Mexico as part of their missionary work. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and teaching her grandchildren how to do both. She loved roses and birds. Jean was active in her church as a Sunday School Teacher and sang in the choir and sang specials. She loved serving the Lord. She loved to sing and especially loved watching good old westerns but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Jean will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Denice F. Powell; son, Denice D. Powell; parents, Harmon Franklin Powers and Olive Mae Smith; brothers, Howard, Dorman and Glen Powers.
Survivors include her daughters: Theda Redfearn, Donna F Harcrow and husband Terry Harcrow, Trina Roethe and husband Chris Roethe; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and numerous other relative and friends.
