Jeanetta Coats' Obituary
Jeanetta Florence Coats of Broken Arrow, 94,entered into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on April 5, 2019. Born June 19, 1924 in Morrilton, Arkansas, she was married to Tommy C. Coats for 68 years until his passing in 2010. Jean devoted her life to faith and family. Jean and Tom settled in Tulsa in 1951 to raise their family, and were early members of the Harvard Avenue Baptist Church, then joined Aspen Park Baptist Church in 1988. Jean is survived by her children: Carol Nobles (Jim) of Broken Arrow and their sons Jimmy and Scott; Tommy R. Coats of Broken Arrow and his children Andrea and Zachary; Dane Coats (Lisa) of Tulsa and children Danielle and Jonathan; Beverly Laubach (Rusty) of Broken Arrow and their children Amanda, Mitchell, Rebekah and Tyler; Shane Coats of Broken Arrow and his children Nichole, Briar and Colt. “Mimi”, to her grandchildren, will leave loving memories with those who loved her for her ready smile, generous spirit, holiday feasts, vintage recipes, and lessons on a life well-lived. Altogether, five children and spouses, thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grand children remain to share our sorrow and praise her heavenly journey.Visitation will be held from 5 pm – 8pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home on Monday, April 8.Funeral Services will be at 11 am on Tuesday, April 9 at Aspen Park Baptist Church – 4400 S. Aspen Ave in Broken Arrow.
