Jeanette W. Carden's Obituary
Jeanette W. Carden, 94, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Jeanette was born on April 23, 1932, in Weleetka, Oklahoma, to Louie Newton Wester and Mary (Bloyed) Wester. She was raised with strong family values that she carried throughout her life.
On September 11, 1952, she married the love of her life, Curtis Carden, and together they built a life centered on family, laughter, and devotion. Jeanette was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt, and she cherished her role as a grandmother deeply.
She attended Draughon’s Business School and went on to work in parts sales for Goulds Pump Company, where she dedicated many years before retiring.
Jeanette was known for her warm spirit and vibrant personality. She was always smiling, quick with a joke, and had a special gift for making others feel welcome. She loved hosting and cooking for family and friends and took great pride in her sense of style.
In her free time, Jeanette enjoyed bowling and was an avid fan of the Oklahoma City Thunder. She also loved playing softball and basketball in her younger years. She found joy in simple pleasures such as playing cards and board games, completing crossword puzzles, reading, traveling, flower gardening, and mowing her lawn.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Carden; her sisters, Wanda Williams and Laura Danley; along with many extended family members and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louie Wester and Mary Wester; her brothers, Buford Wester, Johnny Wester, Clayborn Wester, Joe Wester, and David Wester; and her sister, Edna Tatum
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, April 30, 2026, 2:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Garden of Devotion.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army or the American Red Cross in Jeanette’s honor.
