Jeanette Gibbs' Obituary
In Remembrance of Our Beloved Jeanette Gibbs, 62, peacefully departed from this life on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Porta Caeli House, Tulsa Oklahoma.
Jeanette was born March 9, 1962, in Monroe, Louisiana, the daughter of George and Estella (Bradley) Gibbs. Jeanette’s family relocated from Monroe, Louisiana to Champaign, Illinois. After graduating from Champaign Centennial High School in 1980, Jeanette went on to pursue a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Illinois State University. Soon after graduating from Illinois State University, Jeanette attended Rhema Bible Training College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Although Jeanette received Christ at an early age, this is where her passion and love grew for her lifelong service in the Ministry. Through the ministry Jeanette has touched many lives, it could have been just her greeting you with her great big smile, that would end with her telling you about salvation. She was dedicated and passionate about ministering to the incarcerated through the Prison Ministry Program, as well as missions in other countries.
Although Jeanette did not have any children, she poured her love into her nephews, nieces and
godchildren. Jeanette leaves to cherish her precious memory, three siblings, George Gibbs, Jr., Tulsa, Oklahoma, Pamela (Keenan) Anderson, Champaign, Illinois and Robert T. (LaTonya) Gibbs, Champaign, Illinois and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Janice M. and Larry D. Gibbs
