Hello Angel…Had another dream about us last night. Funny thing I keep wondering when they will stop, however they don't. I truly believe in my heart of hearts that when my time is up here you will be there to greet me, and for that comfort means the world to me Angel. I continue to miss you every day darling. Hello J, It's been some time since I posted but it seems like only yesterday that I was listening to you play guitar for me, watching you on a job site re-building and making someone's home a more beautiful comfortable place to live an enjoy their family. It's been a warm summer this year, however there has been a shift today with a cool front moving through reminding me of those fall motorcycle rides we use to take observing the beautiful changes in the leaves. I miss you and yet I know you are near and around me often, as well as watching over all the family, your grand-kids, brothers, their kids and mine as well. I watched this old movie with Henry Fonda an Lucy in it the other night called Yours, Mine and Ours..In a perfect world that is what I held onto, always hoping that we would end-up with a group like that, living out til Spirit took us home. Not a day passes that I don't miss you with my whole heart and soul Jeffrey. My pain is beyond anything I've ever had to walk through nor deal with. I miss my best friend more than life itself. My best friend, soul mate, travel partner, and the one person whom we shared our most intimate secrets with in regards to the history of our past, our hopes and dreams we wished and planned for our future after our youngest kids reached college. Not a day go's by that our conversations don't haunt me in the deepest part of my being. People always tell you that with time it gets better, that has not been the case for me. For Jeff's dad/mom, siplings I wish to say to all of you. Vernon, Marlee, Vernon Jr., Michael, and all of Jeff's newphews, and neices, as well of family, and oldest friends. I may have never met all of you face to face, as I did some of you, but I felt I did know you. Jeff shared so many wonderful times, adventures, and experiences, he had with you all, his uncles as well, whom he had such loving memories of. The farm house, he had the pleasure of visiting while growing-up. My prayers and thoughts are with you each day. He spoke, laughed much of all those wonderful times. So many he had shared with me. I remember fondly he shared a vacation taken with you his family of being on an aircraft carrier. It was fasinating to hear, for my own father a WWII naval man, road on such carriers. Oh my he was graced and blessed not only by the experiences that life brought him, but of your intelligence, love, and overwhelming care that you showed him always. Often, each day I find myself wanting to pick-up the phone an call my best friend, as I'm sure you all do. We all want to see our own out-live us all. Thank-you Vernon and Marlee, from all of us whom had the pleasure to know your wonderful, giving, loving, son Jeffrey Thane Jones. He will not be forgotten, and he left us all being better people. Last words for all Jeff's friends, loved ones, family members. I hope as many as possible were blessed to listen to Jeff play his guitar. Music is and was such an important part of his life. And I was blessed over the 9 1/2yrs of friendship we shared to not only listen, but see him transpire into a very talented guitar player. So Jeff, I thank-you for brightening up all our lives with your music. One of Jeff's favorite songs to play..and he played it well was Eric Clapton's song- Wonderful Tonight. He never missed a chance to pick-up his guitar and play that song for me. Jeff, we will forever keep the music going…and if I could sum up what Jeff Thane Jones would hope the rest of us to do? The movie that best comes to mind is " Pay it Forward ". Do something kind for others because we all benefit from it. God Bless each and all of you. Leslie

There will never be another like you J. It is true what everyone has commented about. Jeff you were/have always been there to lend a hand for anyone. If you had 2 dollars in your pocket you, would give one of them away for someone that might want a coke at the AA clubhouse. Rides, no problem where do you need go? I miss talking to my closest friend, sharing, laughing uncontrolably , dancing in Ouik-trip parking lots while rain soaked us ,reading, talking about everything from philosophy to spirituality, watching sunsets,biking, and just sharing nature with you. Always a joy my friend. Adam,Joey, and Chelsea..know that so many are praying for you, family as well. For those blessed to know Jeff for anytime, knew how unconditionally he loved, lived, thought, felt, adored, admired, each one of you for all your unique an individual talents. Proud he was and spoke often to anyone and everyone about his children. Yes, Jeff you were a gift in life and now you're a bright star. Rest well my friend. Tink

I was so shocked to hear of Jeff's passing. Ihave know Jeff for over 20 some years. I met him though a support group for AA for my husband. Many years later I met him again and again it was though AA for another husband. Jeff and him were very good friends. I remember Jeff coming to show support for when my last husband passed suddenly.
