Jennifer Kathleen Emerson's Obituary
Jennifer Kathleen (Ford) Emerson was born in Tulsa,Ok. June 27, 1951 to mother Nora Mae (Jones) Bruere and father LD Ford. Jennifer was an only child, but gained 5 step brothers from LD Ford’s marriage to Shirley Ford in 1973. Jennifer had 3 children , David Lee Emerson, Sandra Jane Wise, and Gina Marie Emerson. She was married to Jerry Emerson from 1972-2011, and remained friends after divorce. Jennifer had 8 grandchildren, Devan Emerson, Whitney Baccus, Dylan Emerson, Shawn Papish, Brianna Cline, Kendall Wise, Jerrica Emerson, and Jared Emerson. She also had 7 great grandchildren, Dayton Baccus, Bryston Emerson, Dixie Emerson, Zaiden Emerson, Miah Emerson, Keaton Emerson, and Xavier Cline. Jennifer spent over 20 years in aircraft repair at Nordam in Tulsa, involved herself in United Way fundraising, and blood drives. She worked for her brother, Kevin Hefley, prior to her illness at Dason Fire and Water Restoration, as an office manager. She had been fighting cancer for nearly 15 months with her family as her caregivers. Jennifer passed away January 19, 2017 at her home surrounded by family and people who loved her. She was a beautiful woman, with amazing strength, warmth, and love of family and friends. She never asked for much, appreciated simple things, and always found the good in everyone. She sacrificed for her family, and was the rock, the foundation of the Emerson clan. We love you Momma, You are the most honest, decent, moralistic woman we’ve ever known, my best friend, thank you for always believing… Fly high beautiful lady. Visitation will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday, January 22, 2017, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Monday, January 23, 2017, Floral Haven Rose Chapel, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, followed by burial, Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
