Jeremy Lynn Smith's Obituary
Jeremy Lynn Smith, 49, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on February 22, 2026, surrounded by the love and presence of his family. Born on February 13, 1977, in Galion, Ohio, Jeremy was the son of Jeffery Lynn and Brenda Sue (Crawford) Smith. His life was marked by devotion—to his family, his country, and the many passions that brought him joy.
On April 17, 2007, Jeremy married the love of his life, Kristina, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Together they built a life filled with laughter, resilience, and deep family connection.
A proud United States Navy veteran, Jeremy honorably served during Operation Enduring Freedom aboard the USS Roosevelt. His service earned him the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Battle “E” Ribbon, Letter of Commendation, and the National Defense Service Medal. His commitment to duty and his steady, dependable nature carried into his civilian life, where he worked for Boeing (formerly Spirit AeroSystems) as an Equipment Reliability Analyst. He approached his work with the same diligence and integrity that defined every part of his life.
Jeremy found happiness in the simple, meaningful moments. He loved being outdoors—fishing, camping, and hiking whenever he could. At home, he was the heartbeat of family game nights, always ready for a board game or a good laugh. He enjoyed binge‑watching Friends and The Office, shows that matched his sense of humor and easygoing spirit. Music was a constant companion, and he was known for drumming on anything within reach—especially his signature air drums and the occasional steering wheel.
One of Jeremy’s greatest joys was being “Poppy” to his 2½‑year‑old granddaughter, Peyton “PJ” Pound. Time with Peyton and his children was precious to him. He also loved supporting the Pride of Broken Arrow Marching Band—not only cheering them on with pride and enthusiasm, but also serving as the Director of Concessions for the organization.
Jeremy is survived by his loving wife, Kristina Smith; his children, Taylor Smith, Michael Herzog, Joseph Herzog, Ethan Smith, Kaleb Smith, and Zachariah Smith; his beloved granddaughter, Peyton “PJ” Pound; his parents, Jeffery and Brenda Smith; and his sisters, Becky Vodika and Jennifer Smith. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rolland and Beverly Smith and Bill and Irene Crawford.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 5th at Floral Haven Funeral Home. A Celebration of Jeremy’s Life will take place at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 6th in the Auditorium at the Northeastern State University Campus in Broken Arrow, (3100 E. New Orleans St, Broken Arrow, OK 74014) with a reception to follow in the art gallery .
Jeremy’s life was full of love, laughter, and unwavering loyalty. His memory will continue to echo in the hearts of those who knew him—in the rhythm of a drumbeat, the warmth of a family gathering, and the quiet beauty of the outdoors he cherished.
