Jeri was born in Rudd, Arkansas on January 2, 1932 to Homer and Lydia Ann DeWeese. She was one of five children. On September 10th 1948, she married her first and only love, Thomas Genoff. The two were inseparable for nearly 68 years. Jeri worked hard as a homemaker raising their two boys. Along with helping Tom work on the family farm, and taking care of the books and payroll, she never missed having a hot, home-cooked meal on the table, three times-a-day. She was a welcoming hostess to anyone who crossed the Genoff’s front door. One thing was certain; you would not leave their house hungry, even if you were not hungry when you arrived. Later, as her sons Tony and Mark had children, she expanded her role from being a homemaker to being an amazing grandmother to her 6 grandchildren. The highlight of their week was to spend the night on Friday nights. She was a kind, generous, beautiful, gentle, spirit, and anyone that knew her could not help but love her.
