Jerry Bollinger's Obituary
Jerry Dean Bollinger, a resident of Broken Arrow Oklahoma, passed away on January 16th, 2021 at the age of 74. He passed due to the complications caused by his long fight with Parkinson's Disease. He was born September 4, 1946 to Ruby and Gene Bollinger. He graduated from Will Rogers High school in 1964. He served in the United States Army and was a part of the 4th US Army Missile Command while stationed in Korea from August 1965 to 1968. He married the love of his life Linda Queen on February 20th 1970. He worked in the beer business for over 40 years, where he was beloved by co-workers and customers alike, before he retired to spend more time with his family.
Jerry was an avid football fan. He loved watching the Oklahoma Sooners and Dallas Cowboys play, and yelled at them accordingly based on their play. In his spare time Jerry loved spending time with his family, the outdoors (especially fishing) and eating countless amounts of sweets, which he was always eager to share. Jerry was a caring, compassionate, selfless and hardworking man that touched so many people’s lives in a positive way. He will be deeply missed by family and friends alike.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ruby and Gene Bollinger, and his daughter Jeri-Ann Bollinger. He is survived by his loving wife Linda Bollinger; two sons, Jeremy Bollinger and wife Stephanie, Jacob Bollinger and fiancé Kathy; grandson Kyle Davis; siblings, Don Bollinger and wife Ros, Ralph Bollinger and wife Suzanne, Sherrie Roberts and husband Johnny; and a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held to commemorate Jerry’s life at the Tri-Plex Pavilion located at Haikey Creek Park on Saturday January 30th, from 1-3 P.M. Address: 11327 S Garnett Rd, Broken Arrow, OK 74011
