Jerry D. Caldron's Obituary
Jerry Duane Caldron Jerry Duane Caldron was born on November 18, 1944, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the son of Eugene and Maxine (Cramer) Caldron. His home was in the Tulsa area off and on for most of his life as that is where his roots were. He passed away on Sunday morning, May 8, 2011. He went through 9th grade at Lowell Elementary and Junior High School and dropped out of school during his sophomore year. He worked at a variety of odd jobs most of his life and his favorite job would be when he was running a used car lot. He loved buying and selling cars and other things as well. He could often be found at a local flea market as he hunted for bargains of all kinds. It might be said that he subscribed to that old saying that one man's trash is another man's treasure. He never wanted for friends during his lifetime and often took up with some of life's most down and out people. Even in the last few months of his life he took in a homeless man to give him shelter. He was preceded in death by his father Gene Caldron and his maternal grandmother Mildred Lawson who took a big part in raising him. He was survived by his mother, Maxine Cramer Caldron Shanholtz who passed away only a few hours after he did. He is also survived by his brother and wife Royce and Kathy Caldron of Ponca City, his sister and husband Claudia (Caldron) and Jesse Johnson of Tulsa and a long time friend Lucy Worth of Tulsa.
