Jerry met her husband, Roy Davey, on a blind date and as they say – the rest was history. Roy and Jerry married and began their life together in Kansas City, where they welcomed their first child, Hal, before returning to settle in Tulsa. Nothing was more important to Jerry than her family and friends. She loved being a homemaker and mother, eventually adding two more children to their family: Brenda and Jeff.Jerry and Roy were avid travelers and were accompanied by their children and by Jerry’s oldest sister Bernice and her husband Frank on many trips across the country. Her children like to say Jerry lived two lives: one as a homemaker, traveler, and Roy’s wife, and one as an independent woman after Roy passed away in 1991. Jerry was a devoted member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority and was an active member until the end of her life. A licensed realtor, she began her career with Carriage Realtors and become a real estate broker, then moved to Reynolds Realty until she retired at 80 years old. She faithfully attended St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
