Jerry Lowry's Obituary
Jerry Dwain Lowry, age 80, passed away on January 22, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on April 5, 1945, in Maysville, Arkansas to Wilson Boone and Vivian Lucille Lowry.
Jerry grew up primarily in Jay, Oklahoma working on his family’s farm and later moved to the Tulsa area where he spent the majority of his adult life. He was a hardworking man who valued family, responsibility, and independence, and he took pride in providing for those he loved.
Jerry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was known for his sense of humor, outspoken beliefs, and willingness to help when needed. Those who knew him best will remember his love for his family, his affable nature and his straightforward, no-nonsense approach to life.
Throughout his career, Jerry worked in the manufacturing industry, where he owned 2 separate companies over his career. He was respected for his dedication and ability to solve problems. Outside of work, he enjoyed horses and horse racing, any sport played by the Oklahoma Sooners, the Oklahoma City Thunder, and especially valued time spent with family.
Jerry is survived by his spouse of 60 years Janet, his son Jason and wife Amy, his grandchildren Melissa Yacovazzi with husband Nick, Evie Lowry, Stella Lowry, great-granddaughter Maisey Yacovazzi, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wilson and Lucille Lowry, and his sisters Donna Martino and Beverly (Sue) Hughes.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday January 29, 2026, at 3 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow with a visitation taking place on Wednesday January 28th from 3 PM to 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Retired Racehorse Project.
Jerry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through the family he cherished and the life he lived with integrity.
