Jerry Kay "Johnny" Stone
Jerry Kay "Johnny" Stone, born in 1935 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, surrounded by loved ones. Born to John Claude and Zelma (Hulsey) Stone, Johnny lived a life marked by service, dedication, and deep family bonds.
Johnny proudly served in the United States Navy from 1954 to 1958, embodying the values of honor and commitment. After his military service, he spent 30 years as a skilled machinist at Hughes Anderson, where his precision and work ethic earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
He married his first wife, Shirley, with whom he shared many cherished years until her passing from cancer in 1988.
In 1993, Johnny found love again and married Paula, with whom he made a warm and welcoming home in Broken Arrow.
Johnny was preceded in death by his mother Zelma, father John, step-father Lemuel, step-mother Helen, beloved wife Shirley, and brothers Bert Howard, and Bill Howard
Joe Howard, who is also a brother, is listed as status unknown.
He is survived by his devoted wife Paula Stone; daughters Deborah Salas and husband Raul of San Antonio, Texas, and Melissa Harmon and husband James of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brothers Bud Howard and wife Sunni of Monte Vista, Colorado; sisters Mary Childress of Grand Prairie, Texas, Nancy Howard of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Brenda Bryant of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Cheryl Henriksen and husband KJ of Cleveland, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and strength.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Floral Haven Funeral Home. A celebration of Johnny’s life will take place at 12:30 PM on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
Johnny will be remembered for his quiet resilience, unwavering loyalty, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
