Jerry Edwards Stratton's Obituary
Jerry Edwards Stratton, 77, of Broken Arrow Oklahoma passed away on April 13, 2023. He was born April 26, 1946, in Peonia Colorado to Claire (Cogdil) and William Stratton.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Claire (Cogdil) and William Stratton, sisters Levonne (Stratton) Sherman and Anna Stratton, brothers Louie and Brown Stratton.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Denise (Falconer) and sons' Sean (Lisa) and Matt Stratton, grandsons Ryan and Aiden Stratton, sister Freda Vlcek, and brother Clinton Stratton. He was that special brother-in-law, cousin, and uncle to many and a dear friend to all who crossed his path.
Jerry served in the Army during Vietnam after graduating from Tahlequah High School. He initiated the Tahlequah High School Tigers wrestling team.
As a skilled carpenter by trade, he spent the better part of his life as a Field Superintendent for a Fortune 500 construction company. Always tasked with the largest and most complex projects such as hospitals, colleges, and the FAA Tracon Air Control Center. Not only was he able to make the most profit in the company's history on one job, but also make a profit on every major project assigned.
Jerry loved the great outdoors, camping with family, and traveling the country with Denise in their R.V. He was an avid fisherman and golfer who shared his interests with dear friends and family. His greatest joy was coaching and attending his sons and grandsons sporting events. But what he truly loved the most was his wife and family.
Jerry will be honored with a visitation from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm and a memorial service to follow at 3:00 pm on Monday, April 17, 2023, at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow. A private family committal service will follow at a later date.
