Jerry Edward Wittman's Obituary
Jerry Edward Wittman was born on August 10, 1937 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Herbert and Irene Wittman. He moved to Henryetta, Oklahoma in December of 1942 where he spent his childhood and graduated from Henryetta High School in May of 1955. Jerry enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on March 1, 1956 where he served honorably for 4 years as a draftsman/illustrator. One of his most memorable experiences in the Air Force was the 2 years he spent at Elmendorf Air Force base in Anchorage, Alaska. Jerry accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was born again and baptized on November 4, 1958. After being discharged from the Air Force on February 29, 1960, he moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he spent most of his working years as a Piping Designer in the Oil and Gas Industry until his retirement in January of 2000.A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 25, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Interment will follow in the Garden of St. Paul at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.Survived By: his loving wife: Patti; 2 sons: Scott Wittman and his wife Cindi, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Garret Wittman of Joplin, Missouri; 1 daughter: Shelly Stathis of Tulsa, Oklahoma; loving and devoted friend: Julie Young; 1 grandson: Shawn Wittman and 1 granddaughter: Amanda Stathis, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 3 sisters: Phyllis Thompson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Barbara Morris of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Joyce Sams of Henryetta, Oklahoma; 1 brother: Dennis Wittman of Checotah, Oklahoma, and a host of nephews, nieces, in-laws, friends and brethen in Christ.
