Jim Charles McGough's Obituary
Jim Charles McGough, Sr., 74, of Mannford, Oklahoma, peacefully passed on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, 2022, in Tulsa.
The funeral service will be held at 11am on June 6 at Tulsa Gospel Assembly, 8515 Whirlpool Drive, Sperry, OK. The Reverends Carl Begley and Danny Goff will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 11am-5pm on Sunday, June 5th at Floral Haven, 6500 South 129th East Avenue, Broken Arrow, OK. Burial will be at 2pm on June 6th at Floral Haven.
Jim was born in Ranger, TX on December 2, 1947.
Jim was married to the love of his life, June, on February 8, 1973; they were married 49 years. The Reverend Carl Begley performed the marriage service in Cisco, Texas.
Jim worked as a welder. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends. He actively attended Gospel Assembly churches until his health no longer permitted. He has been described by many as happy, friendly, and kind. He never met a stranger.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, June; son, Jim and his wife Cindy; five grandchildren, Kyle, Alex, Jack, Teagan, and Owen; brothers Ken and wife Jan, Glenn and wife Janet, and sister Wanda House; brother-in-law Larry Simons, and sister-in-law Sheila Burgin and husband John; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Nancy (Stewart) McGough; brothers Ed, Jessie, and John; sisters Loretta Duncan and Betty Ann; brothers-in-law Charles Duncan and Don House; and sister-in-law Terry Simons.
