Jimmy Thomas Stutz's Obituary
Jimmy Thomas Stutz, 89, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on July 15, 2021. He was born September 27, 1931, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to George and Lucille Stutz. He was a longtime member of the Broken Arrow Church of Christ and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and football. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for many years at the Singer Sewing Machine Company as a salesman and then manager, winning many vacation trips for being the top salesman of the year.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Stutz; his parents George and Lucille Stutz of Fort Smith Arkansas; 3 brothers, George Stutz, Jr, of Barling, Arkansas, John E. Stutz of Stockton, California, and Paul Schlaefli of Fort Smith, Arkansas; 4 sisters Patsy Bowles of Wagner, Oklahoma, Mary McCartney of Ocala, Florida, Georgia Brown of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Billie Melton of Astoria, Oregon.
He is survived by his sister Betty Hiatt of Newalla, Oklahoma; and her son Richard Hiatt, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
There will be a viewing at the Floral Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, from 1 to 6 PM. There will be a military graveside service in Fort Smith, Arkansas (Downtown) at 1:00 PM. Please be there by 12:45 PM.
