Jimmy Odell "J.O." Tucker's Obituary
Jimmy Odell “J.O.” Tucker, age 91, of Owasso, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025.
Born on December 31, 1933, in Lamb County, Texas, J.O. was the first-born son of Solomon Porter “Jim” Tucker and Ethel (Dennis) Tucker. He grew up with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit, founding Tucker Janitorial Supply in 1982, a business that reflected his dedication and determination.
J.O. lived a full and active life. He liked to fish and was passionate about fast-pitch softball, first as a player and later as a coach and team sponsor. His competitive spirit carried into bowling, which he enjoyed well into his later years. A lifelong sports enthusiast, J.O. could often be found watching games on television, with baseball being his favorite.
He is survived by his children: Carol Jean Elgin (Donnie), Jimmie Darlene Tucker, Tommy Dale Tucker (Cindy), Timothy Ray Tucker (Colleen), and Penny Krout (Joe); grandchildren: Kristeena Johnson, Donnie Joe Elgin, Ronnie Covin, J. Lynn Cleveland, Scott Tucker, Stacy Tucker, Aiden Tucker, Jake Krout, and Samatha Krout; as well as 11 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his niece Nora and nephew Tuck, and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins who cherished his presence in their lives.
J.O. was preceded in death by his wife, Jo; wife, Marvelle; parents, Solomon and Ethel Tucker; grandchildren, Sharon Smith and Robert Woods III; and siblings, Bobby Tucker, J.C. Tucker, Vic Tucker, and Jeanette Sisson.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 12:30 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a reception at the Floral Haven Family Center.
J.O. will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for sports, and his entrepreneurial spirit. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched, and he will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch in Amarillo, Texas would be appreciated. Their cause was one he supported directly throughout his life.
