Jimmy “Jim” Williams, 68, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Asbury United Methodist Church’s Mason Chapel, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with burial to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Floral Haven Funeral Home from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM.Jim was born on January 28, 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Lee and Nina Faye (Downs) Williams. On March 23, 2002, he married his wife, Rhonda, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.He loved Jesus Christ, his wife, Rhonda, daughters, Audra Michelle McCall, and her husband, Tony, of Catoosa, Oklahoma, and Kimberly Ann Long, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and grandkids, Nicholas Berry, Eric Long, Lexie Long, all of Tulsa, his other extended family members, and friends, his yorkie dogs, Jesse and Jack, golfing with George, any form of socializing with family and friends- “the more the merrier” was his motto. He also enjoyed traveling, grilling, golfing, watching the Broncos and Sooners, playing guitar and singing.Jim graduated at the top of his platoon in the Marines, and was discharged with honors, and earned his dress blues for free in the process. He served our country in Vietnam, and became an Elvis impersonator with the stage name of Johnny Barron, and wrote a saying about time and memories and had it copywritten in 1988.He was as healthy as anyone could hope for until diagnosed with Alzheimers at the age of 59. Memorial donations may be made in Jim’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
