Jo Ann Hodgens' Obituary
It is with great love and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Jo Ann Hodgens on March 18, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 75. Jo Ann was born on March 2, 1950, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to the late Vance and Dorothy (Patterson) Deaton.
Jo Ann built a life of dedication, both professionally as a loan processor and personally as the heart and soul of her family. She found joy in the simple and vibrant pleasures of life—singing, cooking, baking, and entertaining friends and loved ones. Her zest for adventure and connection shone brightly in her love of shopping, her many wonderful vacations, fishing trips, and above all, in the precious moments spent with her beloved grandchildren.
Jo Ann leaves behind her devoted husband, Joe Hodgens; her children, Jim Steward, Jr., Jackie Hodgens, and Kimberly Wheeler; her loving daughter-in-law, Jamie Johnson; and her adoring grandchildren, Abby Steward, Amela Steward, Jaxon Hodgens, Hailey Walker, Mia Wheeler, and Nathen Wheeler. Jo Ann was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Ashton Walker, whose presence brought immense joy to her heart. She will be deeply missed by her sister, Susan and Mark Morrow; niece, Stacey Morrow; and nephew, Matt Morrow, along with all who knew and loved her.
Jo Ann is now reunited with her parents, Vance and Dorothy Deaton, in peaceful rest.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service honoring Jo Ann will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 12:30 PM, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Friends and family are invited to come together to remember Jo Ann's remarkable life and the love she brought to those around her.
