Jo Ann Mitchell's Obituary
Jo Ann Mitchell, age 87, of Broken Arrow, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born January 25, 1934 in Jamestown, Alabama to Deforest Allgood Hogg and Amy Carmon Hogg. She was the youngest child of 7 siblings. Jo Ann received her general education from Menlo, Georgia High School before attending West Georgia College. She was a longtime member of The Church of Christ and enjoyed gardening, painting in her youth, and spending quality time with her family. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters, husband Ollice Mitchell, and daughter Deborah Keller. Jo Ann is survived by her sons, Wayne Mitchell (Broken Arrow) and Max Mitchell (Bixby); 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held to celebrate Jo Ann’s beautiful life at 1PM, Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Broken Arrow Church of Christ with interment to follow at Floral Haven Cemetery.
