Joan Rose's Obituary
Joan Rose, 90, passed away on February 23, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born May 18, 1925 in Humble, Texas to the late Joseph Leonard O’Brien and Mary Lillian (Wilkinson) O’Brien. Joan was a long time member of the St. Anne Catholic Church. She was also the Editor for Broken Arrow Ledger for many years. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin ‘‘Frank” Rose, her parents, Joseph and Mary O’Brien and granddaughter, Christian Elizabeth. Joan is survived by her sister, Doris Campbell of Henderson, TN, daughter, Catherine Mary “Katy” Mitchel and her husband, David of Broken Arrow, OK, Son, Robert David Rose and his wife, Jeanne of Broken Arrow, OK, son, Brien Edward Rose of Broken Arrow, OK, grandson, Robbie (Tara)of Tulsa, OK, granddaughter, Laren (Jon) of Marietta, GA, granddaughter, Tara, of Winfield, KS, granddaughter, Brenna (Eddy) of Oolagah, OK, grandson, Joseph (April) of Tulsa, OK, granddaughter, Megan (Joey) of Tulsa, OK, granddaughter, Kerry of Tulsa, OK, granddaughter, Shannon of Broken Arrow, OK, granddaughter, Melissa of Broken Arrow, OK and seventeen great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016, St. Anne Catholic Church, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, followed by interment, Calvary Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
