Joan Rose Tieperman's Obituary
Joan Rose Larkin Tieperman, 84, of Tulsa, passed away July 12th 2012. She was a beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and sister. Joan was born December 10th 1927 in Hominy, Oklahoma, the daughter of Fred and Hazel Larkin. Joan married her husband LeeRoy Tieperman on November 6, 1949 and worked for Skelly Middle School as an administrator until retirement. She was an active member of Community Christian Church for 47 years and a member of CWF and Beta Sigma Phi. She loved to travel and found joy in meeting everyone. Joan was preceded in death by her brothers Fred Larkin Jr. and Art Larkin, husband LeeRoy and son Arthur Tieperman. She is survived by her sister Lois Marilyn Sue Larkin Schramme, her daughters Janice Kay Tieperman Guy and Mary Alice Tieperman Bower, her grandchildren Jennifer Kay Guy, Daniel Joe Guy, Bryce Douglas Bower and Clay Russell Bower. A Memorial Service will be held for her Monday, July 16th, 12:00PM at Community Christian Church. Memorial donations can be made to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma-Food For Kids Backpack Program in lieu of flowers.
