HERHOLD — Joanne Valerie, passed away peacefully Feb 28, 2014. She was born July 11, 1932 in Chicago, IL to Ralph and Helen Gaden. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Melinda. She is survived by dear friend Bill Shaffer; son Mark Herhold and wife, Cindy and their sons, Tony and Travis; brother Ralph Gaden and wife, Linda; granddaughter Amanda Pickens and husband Mike and their daughter Makenzie. Viewing is Mar 7 from 10-8pm and service is Mar 8 at 3pm, both at Floral Haven.Joanne made a significant impact in the Tulsa Community with her involvement with Boy Scout Troop 26 from the early-1970’s to mid-1980’s, serving as the Troop Advancement Chairperson. She also supported the Easter Seals, Cerebral Palsy Association, American Cancer Society, and Republican Party. She was active in the Good Shepard Lutheran Church where she taught 5th grade Sunday School. She enjoyed a career of over 25 years at Riverside Nissan/Toyota.Joanne was an avid Dallas Cowboys, OKC Thunder, and OSU Cowboys fan. In addition to sports, she loved watching movies, reading, eating with her dinner group, attending theater, and playing games, especially with her Bridge club. She was funny, witty, a great story teller and considered the family historian.The family will greet friends Friday, March 7, 2014 during the viewing period from 5:00 pm till 8:00pm.
